Practical Performance Profiling: Improving the Efficiency of .Net Code

Practical Performance Profiling: Improving the Efficiency of .Net Code - Jean-Philippe Gouigoux In the end there were some useful sections in this book, and some interesting discussions of common performance errors - however it seemed that far too much of the book was more interested in describing, and lets be honest, selling the red gate products to be of much interest to anyone who already uses a different profiling tool for their work.

The noise to signal ratio is also a bit high to be much use to anyone who already has any experience in profiling and performance work - but as it's a free book, it seems crass to complain too much. You get what you pay for after all!
